PROBLEMS PAYING YOUR RENT?
The Association knows that sometimes problems arise and you may find it difficult to pay your rent. It is important that you contact us immediately as arrears build up very quickly.
You must remember that your rent is a priority debt and must be paid if you wish to keep home.
What we can do:
- Discuss a repayment schedule.
- Check to see if you are entitled to housing benefit.
- Help you complete your claim forms.
- Help you to draw up a budget plan.
- Help you seek further advise if necessary.
- Offer you a home visit to discuss your arrears.
REMEMBER - IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU PAY YOUR RENT.
If you fail to pay your rent legal action will be taken, you will still have to pay the arrears and may lose your home. It is important to the Association that you keep your home and we want to help you do so.
