Lincolnshire Rural are committed to improving the environmental performance of their housing stock. Our mission is to provide quality, energy efficient homes for rural people in housing need. We believe that fuel efficiency has a huge impact on an individual's quality of life and we are committed to reducing fuel poverty which is unfortunately a daily reality for some of our tenants.
The Association’s Board of Management created the Energy Efficiency Budget in 2008 to undertake all works to increase the fuel efficiency of the existing housing portfolio. The budget is currently set at £50,000 per financial year.
Improving the thermal performance of the property by upgrading - loft insulation (to 300mm), cavity wall insulation, replacing older wooden windows and doors with ‘A’ rated pvc-u doors and windows which have achieved the Secured by Design standard will provide our tenants with a pleasant and secure environment to live in.
Maintaining a safe, healthy and pleasant environment that encourages positive tenant interaction is important to our Association as it reduces complaints, tenant turnover, provides a socially sustainable development.
